Looks like this mod is a bit scuffed, they need to be peaceful until attacked first. Kangaroos are set this way in the base game, is it so difficult to cut and paste that code across all mobs?

You should make them spawnable, as their drops are required for some crafting recipes. Just make them non aggressive, or in the very least the bats the bats!

I had to mod the game (I just got it). I get too freaked out by the animals attacking. I hate having to kill them too. I haven’t opened the deep mines yet, I have the apathetic mob mod installed, I hope it works on all animals including in the mines. If not I’ll be getting this.

I just read Foolish Hearts. I read it in a day. Recently it's been difficult for a book to capture my full attention, so this was a pleasant surprise. Like you said, I already want to read it again. I had so much fun and was so touched by the friendships in this book
